Seasons change. Seasons do not get upset because they are changing. Seasons do not resist change. They do not get upset by it, nor do seasons get befuddled. Seasons do not say that they are to keep on the season they are — summer or spring or autumn or winter.
Autumn doesn’t say: “Oh, no, I’m not supposed to turn into winter again. That’s not for me. I don’t want to.” Seasons accept the rhythms of their life. They swim with them. They do not call any turn in the road as unfavorable. Snow can melt, and that’s fine. Snow can become sleet, and that’s fine too.
You, on the other hand, refuse to accept some seasons in your life. You welcome change only when the change is your idea and at the head of your list. And if you change your mind after that, you want life to accommodate your change of mind. You want what you want, and yet you may be fickle. Read the rest of this entry →

If you were a novelist, you would know that every person you meet, regardless of what they seem like to you, would be a great character in a novel. The one who may have annoying habits that are hard for you to tolerate would be great fun or most interesting to write about or read about.
You, too, would be a fascinating character in a book. See how interesting you are. See what makes you, an individual skating on the surface of life, relish all those that you have the privilege to meet. Someone you may find dull and boring in life may be delightful in a book.
Every single person on Earth is fascinating. You would see it so except that you have been programmed to disdain or not quite approve of this or that. It could be that you find teetotalers or drinkers hard to take. Are strict teetotalers better or are sociable drinkers better? Is one nationality better than another. Is blonde or brunette better? Who says, and how come? Read the rest of this entry →

There is one person only that you have to educate, and that is yourself. No one else.
Does that seem contrary to the idea that you are your brother’s keeper?
Look, everyone is responsible for everyone else. Your thoughts are heard around the world. That you are responsible for others does not mean that you take others on as a project. Not at all.
The best thing you can do for others is to take active responsibility for yourself. You do not accommodate yourself to everyone else. You are not a chameleon. You do not take on other’s lessons. Read the rest of this entry →

It has been said that there is nothing new under the Sun. This saying makes a point, and it is well-advised. And here We have an instance of when the opposite is also true, for every day is a new day, and there is plenty new under the Sun.
Every day something new is developed or published or considered, something never quite the same before. There are words connected into sentences that have never been connected in this particular way before. Of course, babies are born every day, and yet no one knows the blessing the baby will grow up to be. No one knows. There is no scale from which to predict. Life is full of surprises.
Who knew when President Lincoln was born that he would grow up to become president and accomplish a step forward towards freedom? Who knew that someone would grow up to become a tinker or tailor or sailorman? Maybe some did. Maybe some had an idea, and others had no idea. Life is not predictable. That is why the world, as you know it, is called the relative world. Only relative to what, nobody knows. Read the rest of this entry →

In one breath I tell you that you know everything. This is true. Deep within you, unseen, perhaps not even hinted at, you know the whole mechanics of creation. There isn’t anything you don’t know. Remembering and comprehending – they are two different stories.
In another breath, I tell you that you don’t need to know everything. You don’t have to know anything. What do you think you have to know in order to create your life and make it lovely? Perhaps you have to know less than you think you do. Innocence is good. It keeps you from being clever. In addition to innocence, what do you require to direct the course of your life?
Desire and intention. Both are good. Intention is mighty powerful. Read the rest of this entry →

So long as you are on Earth, you are a human being. It is part of you and not to be ignored. Consider the human part of you as a pet you keep. You take good care of your pet. You feed it and exercise it. You pay attention to your pet, and you love it.
There is an emphasis here in Heavenletters on the Divine. Understandably because the world emphasis has perhaps not been enough on the Divine. Therefore, I emphasize the direction of the Divine. Of course, I do, for here is where your happiness comes from.
Still, there is happiness in the human side of you that is not to be denied. Enjoy the human pleasures. Enjoy everything you do, and enjoy more. If you are an artist, enjoy art. If you are a writer, enjoy writing. If you are a chef, enjoy preparing delicious feasts. Read the rest of this entry →

What an Executive I am! Can you imagine what I undertake and undertake without encumbrance? How it works, if you can call it work, is I have a thought, and My thought travels around the Universe and beyond. It lands. My thought is enough. My energy is enough. And, through you and you and you, My Will be done. Effortless is My way. Effortless is yours once you get the hang of it.
Limitless is the number of workers, employees I have, you might say, and, yet, there is no bookkeeping. Really, no accounting staff, no records that have to be kept. No payroll. No conditions. No hierarchy. Everyone is a volunteer. Conscious volunteer or not, everyone is serving Me on Earth as best he or she knows. All succeed. Some exceed. Some exceed very well and do not know it. You might as well know it. You are, hands down, My messengers on Earth. Read the rest of this entry →

It is an acknowledged fact that you get upset about occurrences as well as about non-occurrences. This is not a great strength to get upset. It is a weakness and often your downfall. This is not to say that something is not upset-worthy, for, yes, of course, there is much that upsets you.
I could ask you to ask yourself: “Must I always answer the doorbell so quickly? Do I run down the stairs? Is everything so urgent to me?”
And then, you admit: “Why, I guess it is. I act like that, yes, I do.” Read the rest of this entry →

The whole world fits into My Heart. The whole world, Universe, every human being, every animal, every stone, every seashell, every particle of sand, and the entire Kingdom of Heaven fit into My Heart. You are in My Heart. All the everything created fits in My Heart. The world is a big place, and the world fits into My Heart. All that you perceive as out there happens within the dwelling place of My Heart. My Heart is a chalice with no top and no bottom. Everything thought or unthought fits in the sanctuary of My Heart. Here is Vastness, and it fits into the cup of My Heart.
Here you are, secure in My Heart, and you wander something called miles, and you bump your head here and there, so real seems your wandering. Read the rest of this entry →

What is there that the Heart of God cannot create? What is there that the heart of man and woman cannot create? I, the Creator, created you. In My image. I created you full of Myself. I do not fool around. I do not experiment. The heart of man is full. I planted My heart in yours.
You must know that I created the Unlimited, Unbounded, Infinite and, the Eternal. You have the same characteristics I do. Venture to use them, develop them, engage with them, offer them, expand them, fulfill them in My Name.
Not only can you do what I ask and all the spectacularness of what I ask – do it. Read the rest of this entry →
